A teacher from Embu took his own life after being rejected by his partner. In a note he left behind, he explained that he couldn’t bear to live seeing his partner in love with another man, so he made the decision to end his life.
The teacher further stated that he wished to be buried on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, at Kavenpero in Ithapu, with his partner, who he requested to read his eulogy.
“I decided to take my own life to find peace. I tried everything possible, but it was all in vain.”
His letter continued, urging his family to investigate if he had any children outside their relationship, and if so, to distribute his assets to them.
Arrangements for the funeral were left to two family members of the county assembly, who were given strict instructions to ensure that the photo he left behind be used as part of the program.
The letter also revealed that the teacher had tried to talk to 17 friends about his relationship with the lady. He continued, stating that none of them listened or offered advice.
“I may look stupid but I have shared my stress with 17 people, none talked to me. Let’s meet in heaven.”
