Police in Kericho are currently investigating a tragic incident where a 60-year-old man, identified as David Kiplangat Ronoh, was discovered dead in a lodging at Kapsoit trading center.
Ronoh, an elder in a local church, was found lifeless with no visible injuries, and he was unclothed at the time of discovery.
Belgut sub-county police commander, Charles Kibati, provided details of the incident, stating that the deceased was in the company of an unidentified young woman.
The woman reportedly reported the matter to the management of the establishment before promptly fleeing the premises.
Police officers from Kapsoit disclosed that a used condom was found at the scene, adding a layer of complexity to the ongoing investigation. The authorities have initiated a search for the woman who fled, aiming to gather more information as they delve into the circumstances surrounding Ronoh’s death.
The deceased’s body has been transported to the Kericho County Referral Hospital mortuary, where it awaits an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
