The family of Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Francis Ogolla disclosed on Friday, April 19, that burial arrangements were in progress in line with his wishes.
According to Ogolla’s father, Joel Oketch, his son had expressed the wish to be laid to rest within 72 hours in the event of his untimely passing.
Consequently, the burial is set to occur on April 21, 2024, at his residence in Ng’iya, Alego Usonga in Siaya County.
Additionally, it was revealed that Ogolla had intended to mark his father’s 100th birthday on Saturday in Siaya, which entailed attending a church service and organizing a home event.
Peris Oketch, Ogolla’s sister, shared that the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) in Nairobi were coordinating the burial preparations in accordance with military protocol. She also mentioned the active involvement of Ogolla’s wife and close relatives in the funeral arrangements.
