One female pastor from Ghana who also doubles as a marriage counselor, Dr. Nana Yaa Prempeh, has sparked controversy on social media after advising women on what to do before agreeing to enter marriage.

In a video circulating online, the pastor was speaking on a television show in the country when she revealed that she is one of the women with the philosophy of ‘seeing and ensuring the manhood works before deciding on marriage.’

The marriage counselor appeared to shed more light on why divorce has become common in today’s society contrary to the past, especially in Africa.

“I am among the women of God who believe that before marrying a man, you must see his manhood. You must see it, touch it, hear it, and ensure it works.”

After these unexpected words, the female host leading the interview requested water, and the pastor asked her why she seemed shocked by her words.

“Why are you so concerned?” the pastor asked the host, who replied, “Let me just have some water first.”
