In a shocking incident on Monday morning, a driver vanished with Ksh94 million, funds he was entrusted to transport to a local bank in the Central Business District (CBD).
Accompanied by a police commander, the money was intended for later dispatch to a supermarket outlet. The audacious theft took place at 6:00 a.m., orchestrated by the driver and his accomplice, who colluded with another staff member of the security firm responsible for the cash transfer.
After successfully stealing the substantial sum, the trio abandoned the vehicle used to collect the money from the security firm’s vault and disappeared without a trace.
