Second Wife Angrily Watches as Husband Marries First Wife During a Catholic Church Ceremonial Wedding

During a matrimonial ceremony at a Catholic church in Kiambu, Patrick Ndachu, a man with two wives, opted to formalize his union with his first wife, Margaret, within the church’s sacred confines, while his second wife, Diana, bore witness to the occasion.

This decision, given the Catholic Church’s stance against polygamy, prompts curiosity about why Patrick chose a church wedding.

It appears that he sought to honor his religious beliefs and community ties by sanctifying his relationship with Margaret within the church’s framework.

However, this union was not easily sanctioned.

The church revealed that it underwent a five-year process to authorize the nuptials, indicating the seriousness with which the matter was approached.

To adhere to church teachings, only one wife, Margaret, participated in the ceremonial walk down the aisle with Patrick.

Speaking after the wedding, Patrick said:

“The church doesn’t allow one to wed two wives inside, but outside here, I will embrace my polygamous status, and I will tell the world that the two are my wives, and I love them. I didn’t want to hide my wives and I have declared that I am married to two wives. I didn’t want the case where some women emerge later to claim that they were my wives,” he said.
