Pastor Victor Kanyari expressed his concerns on the short video platform TikTok after encountering a member of the LGBTQ community living in Germany, named Chokuu.
During his live stream on the platform, which he recently joined, Kanyari received a request from Chokuu to connect with him. Kanyari accepted the request, but upon seeing Chokuu’s profile picture, he appeared regretful and began questioning the situation he found himself in, even threatening to leave the platform.
“My goodness, today I’ve met someone, my people. I’ve met many people before, but now, I will leave TikTok, Chokuu. I will quit TikTok; people were warning me to leave. The things you people talk about are serious,” Kanyari expressed.
Chokuu admitted to the pastor that he is gay and prefers men, a statement that shocked Kanyari even more.
Confidently, Chokuu confessed to Pastor Kanyari that he is attracted to men and nothing can change that, not even prayers.
Chokuu further reassured Kanyari, telling him that since he agreed to bring his gospel to TikTok, he should be ready to encounter people of all kinds.
“Welcome to TikTok, pastor. We said we will all converge here, pastors, gays, servants of God, we will all converge here. Don’t leave, pastor. I’m telling you, my name is Chapati Pendua,” Chokuu told Kanyari.
Kanyari joined TikTok about a month ago and asked his fans to help him increase his followers. In one of his videos where he faced questions from TikTok users about why he decided to join the platform despite being a servant of God, Kanyari defended himself, saying he chose to bring the message of salvation to young people who are influenced by negative forces on TikTok.
The pastor also denied claims by some people that he joined TikTok for money, stating that his intention is to preach and heal people during his live services.
