Kenya Air Force Officer Dies in Bondo Road Crash

The family of Kenya Air Force Officer, Paytone Mitch Opiyo, is mourning after his untimely demise in a fatal head-on collision involving two motorbikes.

The incident occurred on Sunday night along the Bondo-Usenge Road, where Officer Opiyo was transporting his brother.

Reports indicate that Officer Opiyo, along with the rider of the other motorbike, tragically lost their lives on the spot, leaving behind grieving families and a community in shock.

Siaya County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo confirmed the crash, revealing that two pillion passengers sustained injuries and were promptly rushed to Siaya County Referral Hospital for urgent medical attention.

This heartbreaking incident follows closely on the heels of another devastating loss for the nation – the fatal helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Chief of Defence Forces, General Francis Ogolla, and nine others.

The helicopter went down shortly after General Ogolla’s official tour in the Rift Valley region, sending shockwaves across the nation.
