Former Finance Minister Ukur Yattani Arrested

Former Finance Minister Ukur Yattani has been arrested.

His arrest follows an intensive raid conducted by officers from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) at his residence and that of Marsabit Governor Mohamud Ali.

The raid took place at their respective homes in Nairobi and Marsabit.

Yattani previously served as the governor of Marsabit before being appointed as a Minister by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Homes of other top officials from the county were also raided.

EACC confirmed to the Star that the former governor is under their custody and will be taken to the Integrity Centre.
