Popular content creator Baba Talisha has revealed his intention to sue Brian Chira’s grandmother months after the burial, citing defamation allegations against him. Speaking on TikTok, Baba Talisha, who served as the treasurer during Chira’s burial, vehemently denied accusations of mishandling funds.

“That Shosho is something else, they have decided to spread lies, let’s meet in court. That is defamation; you cannot tarnish my name,” Baba Talisha stated.

He expressed disbelief at the claims made by Chira’s grandmother, particularly her assertion of being unaware of any fundraising efforts for Chira’s burial.

In contrast, Chira’s grandmother recounted feeling marginalized and controlled during the funeral arrangements, alleging that Baba Talisha’s purported spouse, Wanjiku, confiscated her phone, hindering her communication.

“It felt like I was blindfolded. Even my phone was taken away. People were calling me to send me something, but they couldn’t reach me; it seemed like I was disrespecting them,” she lamented.

The crux of the accusation revolves around financial mismanagement, with Chira’s grandmother alleging that Wanjiku assumed control of the funeral finances, withdrawing funds without her authorization.

Despite purchasing a house worth Sh 3.5 million, she revealed a remaining balance of Sh 1 million intended for burial expenses. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, she fell ill and couldn’t transfer the funds as planned. Wanjiku allegedly took advantage of the situation, withdrawing the money and subjecting her to verbal abuse.

“I had a balance of Sh 1 million remaining to send on Friday, but I fell ill. Wanjiku was the one withdrawing the money, and she insulted me,” she disclosed.

Moreover, the grandmother claimed that Wanjiku threatened to freeze the funds, asserting they were public money. Additionally, she disclosed that Baba Talisha intervened by covering her rent arrears, further complicating the situation.

“She told me she can withdraw. Tell them if I don’t get money in the bank account, they will give me because they know all my M-Pesa and bank PINs,” she added.
