Before his election as president, Dr. William Ruto was often seen traversing the skies in a famous multi-colored helicopter.

This chopper became synonymous with his campaign endeavors, symbolizing his presence and reach across various towns and regions of the country.

Reports even suggested that he owned the helicopter.

The vibrant aircraft, adorned with white, yellow, red, and black colors, became an iconic sight during Ruto’s campaign rallies and public appearances.

It served as both a mode of transportation and a visual representation of his political ambitions and strategies.

However, following his successful election in August 2022, Ruto transitioned to using a military helicopter, as mandated for the president of Kenya.

Despite the change in aircraft, Ruto continues to utilize the military chopper for his official duties and engagements.

Meanwhile, Raila Odinga, leader of the Azimio la Umoja coalition, is also known for his extensive use of helicopters during political rallies and events.

Recently, he conducted a rally in Suba South, Homa Bay County, where he visited multiple areas to rally support for his party and endorse John Mbadi’s candidacy for the 2027 elections.

During this rally, Odinga arrived in a helicopter similar to the one previously used by President Ruto during his tenure as deputy president.

The helicopter, bearing registration number 5Y-DCS, touched down at Victoria Sand Resort in Suba North for a party delegates meeting.

While many attendees may not have immediately recognized the significance of the helicopter, social media users were quick to point out its resemblance to Ruto’s former campaign chopper.

Comments flooded in on platforms like Facebook, with users drawing parallels between Odinga’s use of the helicopter and Ruto’s previous airborne campaigns.
