A car belonging to Jackson Bambo, husband of Ohangla dancer Sheila Odoyo — who was found dead at their matrimonial home on Thursday — has been recovered from a Nairobi car park.

Odoyo, who goes by the stage name “Sheila Wegesha”, was found in a pool of blood at their home in Hill View Estate, Kitengela, on Thursday May 9.

Investigators are treating Bambo, 45, as a person of interest in the murder. He reportedly left the home in a Mitsubishi Outlander vehicle at around 1am Wednesday night.

Police later traced it to a car park in the Nairobi city centre next to Kencom.

According to a police report citing a car park attendant, the suspect left the vehicle there at around 2.30am and gave the attendant Sh450 as parking fees in case he did not return in the morning.

He also left the car keys with him before leaving with three bags.

The vehicle was traced using a tracking device and towed to Athi River Police Station.

“We are tracking him. His last phone signal was in Narok at 6.26am before it was switched off. He is the prime suspect. He may run but he will never hide,” said Wesley Langat, DCIO Boss in Athi River.
