Veteran journalist Rita Tinina is dead.

Tinina, who worked at NTV, was discovered deceased in her Kileleshwa apartment in Nairobi on Sunday, March 17th.

Concern arose when Tinina failed to report for duty as scheduled, prompting her colleagues and managers to visit her home.

Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding her death, and the cause remains unknown.

Friends and colleagues gathered at Tinina’s apartment to mourn her passing, where a somber atmosphere prevailed.

Notable journalists such as Nimrod Taabu from Citizen and Ken Mijungu from NTV were among those paying their respects.

However, access to the apartment complex was restricted, leaving them to wait outside as Tinina’s body was taken to the Umash Funeral

The cause of the death is yet to be known, police said.
