Mugithi singer Lawrence Njuguna, also known as DJ Fatxo, has revealed that he remains resilient despite facing challenges in his career following the death of interior designer Jeff Mwathi.

DJ Fatxo was a person of interest in the alleged murder of the designer, who passed away on February 22, 2023.

Speaking to vloggers, the singer, who earns a living through his music performances, said that despite the criticism he faced, he remained optimistic, stating that nobody could bring him down.

He expressed that while he was deeply affected by Jeff Mwathi’s death, he believes that God has given him the opportunity to rise again.

“A man may fall many times, but it takes a real man to stand up again. So, I am still trying, and I thank God for bringing me back into the game,” he said.

He emphasized that nobody could bring him down, as he had already made significant progress in his music career.

“Right now, the only way I can be affected and brought down is if I allow it myself. Nobody else can bring me down,” he added.

In a previous interview, he revealed that he had suffered financial losses after being accused of Jeff Mwathi’s murder.

The singer had canceled his scheduled performances to allow investigating officers to conclude their probe into Jeff Mwathi’s death.

“I used to perform every weekend, from Thursday to Sunday. I had significant bookings before all this (Jeff Mwathi’s death) happened. I was making good money, let’s say millions. For the past three months, I have suffered losses,” he said.

DJ Faxto mentioned that the situation had affected both him and his music, as well as his entertainment endeavors.”
