Former TV host Grace Ekirapa has dismissed reports that her marriage to actor and singer Pascal Tokodi has crumbled.
On Thursday, viral reports suggested that the two had split up due to financial constraints, leading them to live separately.
“Pascal and Grace haven’t been living together for two months now. They parted ways last November; Pascal moved back to Karen, where he had been living before they met, and Grace remained in Limuru, where they had been residing together,” a source said, as quoted by Nairobi News.
The source further fueled speculation about their breakup by stating that financial constraints were the cause of their marriage collapsing.
“Grace grew tired of living in Kitengela and suggested they move to Limuru because she wanted to be close to her sisters. They would have to renovate the house again, remembering Pascal is the one footing all these bills because Grace is technically jobless. Throughout their marriage, the pressure has always been on Pascal to maintain their expensive lifestyle,” the source added.
According to the source, ever since they got married, Pascal has shouldered the burden of being the breadwinner since Grace lost her job at NTV. This led to financial pressure on Pascal as it became impossible to sustain their lifestyle.
When the Daily Nation Saturday Magazine called Grace Ekirapa to clarify the issue, she termed the report as ‘stories.’
“Something like this happened before. I didn’t give out the story, so whoever came up with the story is the one who should clarify,” she said.
