DOHA, Qatar. Kenyans living in Qatar came out in large numbers on Thursday, 15 October 2026, for The Baba Legacy Edition, hosted by Diaspora 48th County Kenya (DC48K) at the Infinity Club, 7th Floor, Strato by Warwick, Old Airport, Doha.
Wycliffe Adero of DC48K organised the event with Patrick Omondi of Fish N Fish. It ran under the theme “Humble Man, I Will Attend: This Is For The People,” and the venue was full on the night.
The event drew wide attention online in the days beforehand, largely because of its widely shared “Humble Man, I Will Attend” poster.
Speaking after the event, Mr. Adero described the turnout as a sign of the community’s unity.
“What we witnessed on 15th October was more than a party. It was the people coming together,” he said. “Kenyans in Qatar and across the Middle East showed up and proved that ‘Humble Man, I Will Attend’ was not just a slogan but a movement. We thank everyone who made it a success.”
Mr. Omondi said Fish N Fish was proud of the partnership. “We promised the best entertainment, and we delivered,” he said. “The energy, the sound, the love: this was truly for the people. Asante sana to our diaspora family.”
Diaspora entertainers Jay Jey The DJ and Javan MacAjudo played a mix of Kenyan, African and international music that kept guests dancing late into the night.
Guests praised the organisers for a well planned evening that brought the Kenyan community in Qatar together.
