Mary Biketi, the partner of former Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya, has finally spoken out following the uproar caused by the leakage of intimate photos featuring the couple.

The images, which surfaced online without their consent ignited a storm of speculation and commentary, prompting Mary to address the matter publicly.

In a candid statement, Mary Biketi denied any involvement in the leaking of the photos, firmly asserting her innocence in the matter.

She expressed shock and dismay at the breach of privacy, emphasizing the emotional toll it has taken on both herself and Oparanya.

“My family is there, his political career, his other wives and children have been affected.”

On the other end, Former Kakamega Governor  addressed the viral photo circulating on social media platforms.

In a video posted on Facebook, Oparanya said the photos are genuine, but wondered why someone chose to circulate them.

“Those are very genuine photos. I don’t know why someone would waste time trying to circulate them. It’s unfortunate whoever took the photos leaked to the press,” he said.

He added that he was struggling to understand the interest people have in relation to the photo, saying they are decent.

At the same time, he refuted claims that he had been hospitalised.

Oparanya said he has a family that needs his protection, stating that any fake news is hurting them.
