The founder of Neno Evangelism Church, Pastor James Ng’ang’a, has found himself embroiled in a heated dispute with the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) over the ownership of the land where his church stands in Haile Selassie Avenue.

The controversy arises from allegations that the prime land was unlawfully acquired, originally designated for Kenya Railways.

This piece of land is one of five parcels targeted by the commission for reclamation at the intersection of Haile Selassie Avenue and Uhuru Highway.

In response to the accusations, Pastor Ng’ang’a vehemently defended himself, expressing frustration and challenging the EACC to present credible evidence. He vehemently denied any wrongdoing, asserting that the land in question has a legitimate title deed dating back to 1980, with all necessary legal processes completed over the years.

Pastor Ng’ang’a criticized the EACC’s accusations, labeling them as baseless and aimed at tarnishing his reputation and that of the government.

He dared the commission to thoroughly investigate the matter, emphasizing his readiness to cooperate while expressing confidence in the legitimacy of his ownership.

Furthermore, Pastor Ng’ang’a extended his discontent to the government, reacting to news of a helicopter crash involving Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen and his ally Caleb Kositany, chairman of the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) board.

“I heard a plane crashed. It didn’t crash so well. It didn’t crash so well,” he said, implying that the accident could have been even more severe.
