“Waume Zetu Wamekua Bure Kabisa” Kiambu Women Set Demos Citing Poor Conjugal Rights Due to Bad Roads

Kiambu women were today storms the in roads demonstrating over poor roads, that have rendered their men useless in bed.

The protestors who included Tuk Tuk operators blocked the Kimbo-Matangini road with burning tyres and stones for more than two hours to express their anger at the local leadership whom they accused of ignoring their plight.

“Waume zetu Wamekua bure Kabisa, siku hizi hawafanyi kitu,” one of the women said.

“This road has been in that poor state for more than four years now. For us, boda boda operators it is affecting our marital lives as our women suspect we have other affairs since most of us get home exhausted and go straight to sleep,” Paul Ndung’u, one of the riders, affirmed.

According to news reports, police officers took long before clearing a section of the Kimbo-Matangini road in Juja, Kiambu County, which was barricaded by locals protesting its poor state.

The motorcycle riders claimed that spending long hours on the rough road has caused strains in their sexual relationships, as they usually arrive home extremely exhausted to perform conjugal duties.
