Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has made sensational allegations on his Twitter account, claiming that retired President Uhuru Kenyatta fathered a child with one of Sonko’s close female friends during his time in power.
According to Sonko, the lady in question resides in Mtwapa.
The child of this alleged affair is said to bear a striking resemblance to President Uhuru, adding to the controversy surrounding the claims.
Sonko further asserted that Uhuru takes responsibility for the child by providing financial support (upkeep) and that he secretly meets with the woman for undisclosed reasons.
In his tweet, Sonko wrote, “Huyu the 4th nilimpea dame beste yangu wa mtwapa akudunga mimba kamtoto kakikuwa ni yeye copy right but uzuri wake analipanga upkeep na kuangalia dame mpaka leo na bado anammanga,” which loosely translates to the claim that the child is a carbon copy of President Uhuru, and he continues to provide financial support and care for the woman.
The relationship between Sonko and Uhuru was once very close, with Sonko even boasting at one point that he was a co-President.
However, their friendship soured after Sonko alleged that Uhuru played a role in orchestrating his impeachment as Nairobi Governor.
These allegations have sparked public interest and controversy, given the prominence of the individuals involved.
