According to State House,  President Ruto will be inaugurating, commissioning, and inspecting government projects that will benefit ordinary Kenyans at the Coast, in line with the new administration’s Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).

The Head of State is expected to issue grants worth over Ksh 552 million worth of grants to common interest groups engaged in Blue Economy and Fisheries projects in Mukowe, Ngao, Ukunda, and Mombasa.

In Kilifi County, he will commission a fish landing site to boost the Blue Economy and Fisheries Value Chain, issue identification documents to the Pemba community, and title deeds.

While in Mombasa County, the president will attend a  rededication ceremony of KNS Shupavu, the first warship refitted locally, affirming Kenya Shipyards Limited’s vision in the shipbuilding industry in Mombasa. He will then launch a local vehicle assembly line and later have a  meeting with port users and other port stakeholders.
