Pastor of the Nairobi-based ECC Church, Lucy Natasha, has expressed gratitude to God for the presence of social media in her generation.

Natasha said that without social media, perhaps she wouldn’t have a husband today.

The pastor revealed that it was through social media, specifically Instagram, where she first met her current husband, Prophet Stanley Carmel.

Natasha stated that she has been in love with Prophet Carmel for the past two years, and their love continues to mature every day.

“Every love story is unique, and sometimes God can use strange ways to connect people. Even for those without partners, I want them to know that there is no specific place where you can meet your significant other,” Natasha began.

“You can meet your potential partner in the most unexpected ways, and for us, I thank God for the presence of social media because that’s where we first met. Instagram. He entered my DMs,” Natasha added.

She described how they got to know each other and met before becoming lovers, and shortly thereafter, they got married two years ago.

“What happened, remember he had never been to Africa and I had never been to India, he wrote me a DM for 2 years if I haven’t responded. He came with those lines of wishing me well and a safe journey whenever I traveled, telling me I look good and should keep shining… but it took me a long time to see his messages because many people follow me.”

“Later, he saw a clip of me preaching about the royal family; he came to Instagram, followed me, and from there, he continued to send me messages, ‘keep shining,’ ‘keep leading people to God’… but he never wrote a message saying ‘I love you.’ And after 2 years, I saw his DMs, and I said let me check who this is, then I replied, as if I initiated the conversation,” Natasha explained.

After that, Natasha said they met in the United States, in the state of Texas, where each was separately invited to different gospel meetings.
