Thousands defied the early morning rains to gather at the Kenyatta University mortuary on Tuesday morning, March 26, 2024, to view the body of the late TikToker Brian Chira.
People began streaming into the KU morgue as early as 7 a.m. before the body was prepared for viewing.
The early rain did not deter those eager to catch a glimpse of Chira’s body before being restrained at Githurai.
By 9 a.m., the number of attendees at the Kenyatta University funeral home to view Brian Chira’s body had swelled to thousands.
Fans were given strict instructions not to record the body in the casket. A police officer ordered fans lining up to view the body to set aside their phones.
One fan also fainted after viewing Chira’s body. They cried uncontrollably and had to be taken outside to get some fresh air.
Brian Chira will be transported to Githunguri for the funeral service and burial after the body has been viewed at the KU mortuary.
