Millicent Jerotich, popularly known as Marakwet Daughter, has found herself embroiled in a heated exchange with fellow Kalenjin artist, Joshua Kendagor Limo.

The controversy unfolded when Marakwet Daughter took to TikTok to address suspected trolls among her admirers, urging them to refrain from spreading negativity.

The Mali Safi Chito hitmaker’s TikTok video, where she boldly declared her intention to put an end to damaging behavior, has stirred quite a commotion on social media. Marakwet Daughter did not mince her words, blocking certain individuals and instructing them to take their negative opinions elsewhere.

“You are used to using bad language on my comment section. You are used to spewing hate in my comment inbox; come and do that now,” she proclaimed in the now widely-shared video.

However, the drama took an unexpected turn when Joshua Kendagor Limo, another prominent Kalenjin artist, claimed to have pure intentions while texting Marakwet Daughter.

Their exchange ended in a heated argument, with Marakwet Daughter suggesting that Limo’s actions were driven by jealousy towards her success.

In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, Marakwet Daughter shed light on the situation, revealing Limo’s alleged envy as the root cause of their clash

“He has never been happy when any other artists from our region grow in this industry. He threatened me that he is the only artist that would be recognised in this region.”
