Cebbie Koks, a prominent businesswoman and public relations expert, recently addressed rumors and speculation surrounding her Instagram activity, particularly regarding her relationship with husband Steve Ogolla.

The controversy stemmed from Koks’ decision to remove Ogolla’s name and pictures from her Instagram profile, sparking widespread conjecture about the status of their marriage.

Despite previous dismissals of separation rumors, Koks’ Instagram adjustments in January 2024 prompted renewed speculation, especially amidst rumors of an impending divorce.

However, in a conversation with Jagero on February 14, Koks firmly defended her right to privacy and autonomy, asserting that she is not obligated to justify personal decisions to the public.

Koks emphasized the importance of positivity and criticized the tendency to magnify negative aspects of individuals’ lives, particularly on social media. She urged for respect of personal boundaries, highlighting the intense scrutiny faced by public figures and the need for empathy in online discourse.

“People are petty. I have a business in the same context. Why are they not amplifying that? Why are we looking at things that don’t matter… We are more inclined to the negative than the positive. People need to find a life.”

Furthermore, Koks stressed the significance of authenticity in online interactions, advocating for genuine self-expression despite the pressures of public visibility. She cautioned against the detrimental effects of social media on mental health and encouraged self-awareness and digital detoxes as strategies for maintaining well-being.

“They need to let people be because even public figures are people too. Can I live my life in a way that I find comfortable? Instead of living a life for yourself or social media. Whatever decision I make, it’s my choice and my space. I should not be compelled to explain why I did that. “ she said.
