Kenyan comedian Eunice Wanjiru, popularly known as Mammito, recently left fans both shocked and delighted after revealing her pregnancy alongside her upcoming comedy special, Maandamano Baby.
True to her comedic flair, Mammito’s announcement came with humorous commentary, sharing her journey as she prepares for the arrival of her “future little fighter.”
The 30-year-old comedian, known for her relatable humor and bold stage presence, shared that the concept for her show emerged in July during protests against the 2024 Finance Bill.
“While I joined the rest of Kenyans in rejecting the finance bill, I was busy making a future little fighter,” she joked. Mammito plans to bring fans along for a deeply personal, comedic take on her recent experiences in life and pregnancy, promising an evening of unfiltered insights in her signature style.
While excitement about her pregnancy quickly spread, curiosity about the father soon followed. Since going public with her pregnancy, fans have speculated heavily about who might be behind the news.
Mammito’s last publicly known relationship was a long-term on-and-off one with fellow comedian Eddie Butita, which ended in 2022. With no current partner made public, fans have eagerly taken to social media, expressing surprise and trying to unearth any hints she might have left.
Mammito, however, has skillfully kept the mystery alive, sidestepping direct questions about the identity of her baby’s father.
Instead, she has focused on promoting her upcoming show, which she describes as “a two-in-one performance with me and my mini-me.” Set for December 20, 2024, at the C.U. Shah Jain Bhavan Auditorium in Loresho, Nairobi, Maandamano Baby is anticipated to be one of her most unique and personal performances yet.
Adding a twist to the event, Mammito has partnered with Chumz, a goal-based savings app, making it clear she is embracing this new chapter with both humor and purpose. Whether or not she chooses to reveal her mystery partner, Maandamano Baby promises a night of laughter and connection with her fans as she steps into this new phase of life.
