In the bustling neighborhood of Kawangware, Nairobi, Fredrick Busieka Nziya’s life took a dramatic turn between 2006 and 2007 when he fell in love with a woman named Mary.
Their love story was abruptly interrupted when Fredrick secured a job with the now-defunct Kenya Bus Services, necessitating his move to Kayole.
This relocation thrust the couple into a long-distance relationship at a time when mobile phones were not widely accessible, making communication increasingly difficult.
The challenges didn’t end there. Fredrick’s demanding job often required late hours, further complicating his efforts to maintain the relationship. “I bet she came to my house several times when I was at work and found it locked,” Fredrick recounted to TUKO.co.ke.
As months passed, the distance and lack of communication caused Fredrick to drift away from Mary. He eventually fell in love with another woman who moved into his Kayole residence.
The past caught up with him one day when Mary visited unexpectedly, finding Fredrick’s new partner in his house. She delivered the news that she was pregnant with Fredrick’s daughter, urging the new partner to relay the message.
Fredrick was torn. “I told my new wife to allow the woman to stay next time she visited because I knew that was my baby, but she refused,” he lamented. As a result, Fredrick never got the chance to reconnect with Mary or meet his daughter.
Years have passed, and Fredrick, now 45, is filled with regret and a longing to reconnect with his firstborn daughter. The mother of his second child has brought significant challenges into his life, intensifying his desire to find his first love and daughter. “I will be very happy if I find my firstborn daughter, just that I don’t know where to find her,” he pleaded.
Fredrick is reaching out to the public for help in his quest to find his daughter, hoping to piece together the fragmented parts of his past and build a relationship with her.
