A major victory for protestors unfolded today as Boda Boda riders in town joined their demonstration, helping drive out the alleged goons attempting to disrupt the protest.
The protest, sparked by the death of blogger Albert Ojwang, saw a large group of demonstrators gather in town, demanding justice for his death and the release of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Eliud Lagat.
The demonstration grew intense when alleged hired goons on motorcycles entered the area, chanting “Hakuna maandamano leo” in an apparent attempt to disperse the protestors.
However, the protestors saw a significant turn of events when local Boda Boda riders rallied alongside them, successfully pushing out the intruders and strengthening the protest’s momentum.
