All football leagues in the country suspended, caretaker committee announces

All football league in the country have been suspended for by the caretaker committee appointed by CS Amina Mohammed to run football activities.

In a statement released on Friday, November 12, the committee announced leagues including Football Kenya Federation Premier league (FKFPL), National Super League (NSL),. Division one, Women’s Premier league, Women’s Division one would be suspended for two weeks.

“Following a meeting of the Football Kenya Federation Caretaker Committee this (Friday) morning, it has been unanimously decided to suspend the leagues for a period of two weeks starting today the 12th of November 2021,” According to the statement shared by the committee, the decision was arrived at “to ensure regularisation of the league activities across the country. The committee will be engaging with clubs and other football stakeholders in due course”.
