John Orinda, the father of DJ Evolve, has shared some positive news about his son’s health.
DJ Evolve, born Felix Orinda, had been unable to speak for the past three years and had also experienced paralysis in some of his body parts. However, a successful surgery that took eight hours to complete on March 6, 2023, has helped him regain his voice.
In an exclusive interview with Nairobi News, Mr. Orinda revealed that the surgery cost over Sh700,000 and was paid for by MP Babu Owino.
Although DJ Evolve is still bedridden and unable to walk, his father is optimistic that his son will overcome these challenges and return to a normal life.
The initial report from the doctor had indicated that DJ Evolve might never speak again. However, the successful surgery has brought joy and peace to the family.
Mr. Orinda shared that he had been walking the painful journey of his son’s recovery step by step, and seeing him in the ICU was the toughest season for the family. Nevertheless, as a prayerful man of God, he had strong faith that the surgery was going to be successful.
DJ Evolve has undergone several surgeries to save his life since he was reportedly shot at an entertainment joint in Nairobi. Although the road to recovery has been long and painful, the successful surgery has given hope to the family and fans of the popular entertainer.
