See what Martha Karua did to a journalist who was allegedly sent by President Ruto’s camp to disrupt Raila’s press Conference

Martha Karua has slammed a journalist who asked Raila Odinga a question which she seemingly believed to be fictitious.

According to the video shared, a journalist is heard asking a question which Karua fronted herself to answer, Raila Odinga paved her way to answer, she then told off the journalist asking him to go and seek facts before raising irrelevant questions to political leaders.

“You surely do not expect our leaders to be responding to anybody on something unfounded you better go to that source to give you facts to show that what he is saying is true,” Martha Karua responded.

Karua had joined other leaders including David Murathe, Jeremiah Kioni, Raila Odinga among others in addressing their planned meeting and staged demonstrations on this coming Wednesday. They then affirmed that they will not be having demonstrations but instead they will be having a consultative meeting with the Azimio supporters on the best directive on the removal of the four IEBC commissioners from office.

On his part, Raila clarified that the rallies will be consultative sessions and not demonstrations as insinuated by the government.

“If we wanted to do a protest, we would inform the police. We are not going to engage in any theft or hooliganism and no property is going to be destroyed.

“The government should not use this as an opportunity to bring goons to try to disrupt this function,” Odinga warned.

The Azimio leaders confirmed that they would hold parallel Jamuhuri Day celebrations at the Jacaranda Grounds on December 12.

Dubbing the marches and rallies “public consultations”, Mr Odinga said he would begin talking to Kenyans on the direction the country is taking.

“We announce the launch of the pushback we talked about a few days ago. On December 7, at the historic Kamukunji grounds in Nairobi, we will launch public consultations with the people of Kenya to brainstorm on the direction the country is taking,” he said.

A parallel rally on Jamhuri Day was among the items discussed during the Azimio Parliamentary Group meeting on Tuesday but was left for the coalition leadership to make a final decision.

Some leaders were of the opinion that Jamhuri Day celebrations are national and ought not to be destabilised.

Mr Odinga said he and his group would not sit back and watch President Ruto revert to tendencies that plunged the country into the 2007/8 post-election violence.
