Kenyan rapper Prezzo recently revealed that he spent a staggering Ksh 4.6 million for his wedding back in 2008.
During an interview on Cate Rira’s podcast, Prezzo admitted that he regrets spending that much money on his wedding and said that he would do things differently if given a chance.
Prezzo, who has been in the music industry for over 15 years, tied the knot with Daisy Kiplagat in a highly publicized wedding that made headlines on TV and in magazines.
He advised that one can learn many things along the way and that there are probably things he could have done differently after learning the lesson.
During the interview, Prezzo also talked about his mother’s advice, who had suggested that he should ask for help from his friends. However, he insisted on doing things his way.
The rapper also opened up about his experience with friendships during the end of his first marriage, expressing that he felt abandoned by his friends. Prezzo said that none of his friends tried to mend things up when his marriage was hitting rock bottom.
“At the end of the day, that’s what friends are there for. I didn’t feel like anybody I knew had my back,” said Prezzo.
