Ruto’s Blogger Boni Khalwale To Be Kicked Out of Ford-Kenya

DP William Ruto and Boni Khalwale.

If he is not making  profanities on social media and self praising posts how Isikuti dancers blocked the road for him, he is flirting with DP Ruto and undermining Ford-Kenya. The once influential former  Kakamega Senator risks being party less after Ford-Kenya,  which he is the Deputy Leader has filed a petition seeking his removal.

Khalwale has stopped engaging in Ford-Kenya activities, instead has chosen to sabotage the party especially in Kakamega County by publicly undermining the party as well as hobnobbing with DP William Ruto. The petitioners, through party’s disciplinary committee are seeking explanation why disciplinary action should not be taken against Khalwale.

“Due to you conduct, Ford-Kenya has diminished generally in popularity and influence and that the party’s activity in and around Kakamega under your leadership as the deputy leader have reduced,”  Kwanza MP Ferdinand  and Ford-Kenya disciplinary committee chair  said in his show cause letter to Dr Khalwale. The letter also asks the former senator to present himself before the committee on May 23rd.

MP Wanyonyi says Dr Khalwale has publicly campaigned for and endorsed a different political candidate, who is not a member of Ford-Kenya in which he is the Deputy Party leader. This he says, is a direct contravention of party’s rules as well as going against the party’s candidate, considering Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula, the party leader ha declared his interest to run in 2022.

Khalwale who vied unsuccessfully for the Kakamega gubernatorial seat in 2017 and was beaten to pulp by ODM’s Wycliffe Oparanya may be punished by his party either through expulsion or fines or any other recommendations by the party’s disciplinary mode.

“Your actions, if substantiated may constitute one or more of the offences within the party constitution amounting to gross misconduct attracting penalties including the payment of fines, reprimand, suspension, expulsion or dismissal from office,” continued the letter.

Dr Khalwale is expected  to give his response to the letter by 21st  May failure to which the committee shall draw relevant inference from his conduct and proceed to conclude the matter without further reference.
