Ruto reveals why Raila will swear himself in again at Uhuru park

Deputy President William Ruto has said that he won’t be surprised if the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga goes back to Uhuru park to swear himself again.

Ruto who was speaking at various stopovers during his empowerment tour in Kakamega County on Friday, said that the level of confusion being witnessed by Raila and the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals will make them storm back to Uhuru Parks for another illegal swearing.

“Sasa wanzunguka na Kuzunguka. Hi watu wakiendelea vile wanaendelea , hii watu watatenda tena Uhuru park kuenda kuswear themselves wakati tumepanga serikali,” Said Ruto.

He asked Raila and the OKA principals to stop disturbing President Uhuru Kenyatta and allow him to serve Kenyans.

He said Uhuru was elected to serve million of Kenyans and not unite six men against him ahead of 2022.

“Hanging around President Kenyatta for direction and support is clear indication that my competitors have no plans and agenda for the country.

Ruto said it’s not the responsibility of the President to unite individuals who have no agenda for the country.

“I want to give free advice to my competitors to stop disturbing our President. They should leave Uhuru alone to implement his agenda for the country,” he said.

He was accompanied by MPs Didmus Barasa (Kimilili), Benjamin Washiali (Mumias), Dan Wanyama (Webuye West), Aden Duale (Garissa Town), former CS Rashid Echesa and former Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale.

Ruto said Opposition leaders will compete against him not the President come 2022.

“My competitors should wake up to the reality that I am the one competing with them in 2022,” he said.

“They should stop wasting the President’s time and get in touch with the people at the grassroots,”
