President Of Atheists Who Works at Central Bank Fired for Being anti Jubilee

The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) has suspended its employee Harrison Mumia over a series of tweets in which he blatantly expressed his dislike for the Jubilee Administration

In a letter signed by the bank’s Acting Director of Human Resources Terry Ng’ang’a, CBK termed Mumia who is also the President of the Atheists in Kenya Society (AIK) a serial violator of the bank’s HR policy which requires all its employees to remain politically neutral.

“You are hereby suspended and your suspension shall be regularly reviewed. You are in the circumstances expected not to attend duty with immediate effect until and unless the process is completed,” reads part of the notice.

Among the tweets that have drawn the ire of his employers include one posted on February 14, 2018 which reads, “Can Jubilee make Uhuru resign like ANC did for Zuma? Does Jubilee have a NEC. If it happens that would be a relief for Kenyans. Right now any change from Uhuru is better than Uhuru Any!!”

The staunch atheist has however pleaded his innocence claiming that he did not post the tweets that appeared on his time-line in February 2018.

“It is unacceptable that CBK Kenya’s HR Acting Director, Terry Ng’ang’a should engage in witch-hunt,” said a defiant Mumia on twitter.

The bank maintains that Mumia through allegations posted on his twitter account embarrassed his employer by questioning the bank’s investigations into Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter after he allegedly presented fake Treasury bills in February 2018.

The monetary policy regulator wants Mumia to show cause on why he should not be sacked for gross misconduct for the second offense after first being warned about his social media activity in May 2017.
