Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa face the law for assault.

By Isaac Wanjekeche—

A Member of Parliament who was caught on camera assaulting a contractor will face a legal suit.
Lawyer Brian Khaemba has said his client suffered bodily harm due to the public assault from the legislature.
Steve Kay’s lawyer has said he is expecting the police to act with speed and arraign the MP in court.
“There is northing much to investigate from the police department. My client has secured an OB and filled P3 forms. The MP must take a plea.” said Khaemba.

The city lawyer has said the MP acted in a manner that has stripped him off his honorable status.
“It is unfortunate that people are still calling the MP , a honorable member. His action has taken away such privileges,” said Khaemba.
Steve Kay told the media that the MP had refused paying him after refurbishing classrooms in his constituency.

He said, the CDF owes him Kshs. 3.4 M for the contracted that he won.
Khaemba has said the MP has been making efforts to reach his client through proxy to settle the matter outside court.
“I am aware that the MP is making frantic efforts to reach my client through pseudo contacts. I will stop at nothing to make the MP take a plea.”  added Khaemba
