Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has denied report of a political machine that is pushing One Kenya Alliance principals in supporting a Raila Odinga Presidency.
Kalonzo, who was speaking during a radio interview on Wednesday, said OKA was in the 2022 presidential race and did not want to hear anything about supporting Raila again despite Uhuru’s insistence that it’s only the ODM boss who has the clearest chance to beat his opponent.
“There is nothing like being whipped to support Raila. From the two or three meetings, it is normal in a democracy for the president to speak with leader… It is not our first to be doing these things, we are not dragging because we are being pushed to support Raila,” said Kalonzo.
Kalonzo further insisted that their previous meetings with President Uhuru Kenyatta was to deliberate on matters of national interest, among them the new Covid-19 surge and containment measures.
OKA principals, Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Gideon Moi have in a number of times rubbished reports if supporting ODM leader Raila Odinga in next year’s presidential election.
