Michelle Ngele, a seasoned journalist, has made a significant career move by joining NTV as their newest news anchor. This change comes after her quiet departure from K24, where she had been a prominent figure since 2021.

Ngele is set to fill the shoes of Olive Burrows, who recently left NTV to join Citizen TV, succeeding Victoria Rubadiri, now at CNN.

Ngele’s journey in journalism began in 2015 when she emerged as the winner of KTN News’s competition show, The Presenter, alongside Jamal Gaddafi.

Her victory in this competition was a pivotal moment that propelled her into the spotlight. She was retained by KTN News, where she honed her skills and developed a deep passion for broadcasting.

Reflecting on her time at KTN News, Ngele expressed her gratitude, saying, “I enjoyed my time at KTN News. They made me who I am today, and I am forever grateful. It’s a wonderful place to grow.”

In 2021, Ngele made a move to K24, where she continued to build her career and reputation as a dedicated and talented journalist.

Her tenure at K24 was marked by professionalism and a quiet exit that paved the way for her new role at NTV. She reported to work at NTV Studios this week and has been actively involved in production work as she prepares to go live on air next Monday.

Ngele’s appointment at NTV is part of the network’s effort to maintain its high standards of journalism and connect with its audience. Her experience and commitment to storytelling make her a valuable addition to the team.

She joins a legacy left by Olive Burrows, who spent six impactful years at NTV, contributing significantly to the station’s success and building strong relationships with colleagues and viewers.

Olive Burrows, in her farewell bulletin, expressed heartfelt gratitude for her time at NTV, highlighting the station’s influence on her career and personal growth.

“This is not goodbye; it is see you later. It has been an absolute privilege working here at the Nation Media Group for the last six years,” Burrows said, reflecting on her journey.
