Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to retire with his handshake partner, Raila Odinga, once his term ends in 2022.
Kalonzo, Who is eyeing the 2022 presidential seat, said by August 2022 when the next General Election will be held, the ODM boss would have served Kenyans in many ways in his political career.
“My thinking is that President Uhuru should go home with Raila. If you look at the ages of all the others who want to contest for the presidency, Raila is always ahead of us,” said Kalonzo.
The former Vice President who was speaking on Emoo FM on Wednesday morning, thanked the President and the former Primer Minister for agreeing to a handshake when the country was on the brink of violence after the 2017 general election.
Kalonzo Further said his One Kenya Alliance Partners will back his presidential bid, hence, Calling Odinga to join the party as long as his intentions is not to get the other principals back him for the presidency.
He further called on the Kalenjin community to support his bid, adding that he has planned a series of tours in the Rift Valley region to popularise his candidature among the Kalenjin people.
“I will be coming to your churches to worship with you. I will also have rallies in various parts of the Rift Valley,” he reiterated.
