Wiper party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has launched his Secretariat ahead of 2022 Presidential election.
The former Vice President unveiled his Secretariat dubbed the Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka (SKM) Command Centre on Monday, August 9, 2021 in Karen.
The event was attended by ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi however, his other One Kenya Alliance (OKA) counterparts, Kanu Party Leader Gideon Moi and Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula were conspicuously absent during the launch of Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s Secretariat.
Speaking during the launch of his Secretariat, Kalonzo dismissed any speculations that could arise from the absence of some of his One Kenya Alliance (OKA) counterparts stating that the Alliance was fully represented despite the absence of Gideon Moi and Wetangula.
“For those ney-sayers who think that Weta [sic] is not here or that Senator Gideon Moi is not here, I want you to know that they have sent their representatives,” Kalonzo stated.
In his defense, Kalonzo insisted that although the two were not physically present, they had sent their representatives for the launch.
Wetangula was represented by Ford Kenya Secretary General Chris Wamalwa while Gideon Moi was represented by the KANU party’s Executive Director George Wainaina.
The Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi however, had to leave the launch to attend to a dinner event that could not be postponed.
Kalonzo launched his Presidential Secretariat exactly a year before next year’s general election.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati had earlier announced that next year’s presidential poll will be held on August 9, 2022.
