Wiper leaders dismiss Raila’s threats, say Kalonzo is ready to work with Uhuru

Wiper party leaders have dared Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga to walk out of his handshake and BBI deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta if he feels shortchanged.

Wiper legislators on Monday March 8, 2021 told Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to walk out of the political deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta and give way for Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka whom they claimed is ready to work with the Head of State.

According to the Wiper party leaders, Raila should quit the handshake deal if he is not happy and stop issuing threats to the president whom they claimed has accommodated him in government.

The Wiper leaders led by Kitui County Senator Enoch Wambua said that Wiper is ready to cooperate with the Jubilee government if ODM quits.

They were speaking at ATG church fundraising event in Mlolongo on Sunday March 7, 2021.

“If I invite you to my house, you should not come and start dictating to me how I should cook my food, how I should do my things…that will not be possible. If ODM is not satisfied with the terms and conditions of the handshake, let them quit,” Senator Wambua said.

Kitui Senator however, stated that Kalonzo Musyoka is not waiting for 2022 presidential endorsement from anyone.

Mavoko Member of Parliament Patrick Makau, who played host to the leaders claimed that President Kenyatta will endorse Kalonzo Musyoka as his successor in 2022.

“We have even seen Uhuru telling Kalonzo to come closer as he too could become something,” Makau said.

Former Kibwezi Member of Parliament Kalembe Ndile expressed his disappointment with ODM party leader after his brother Oburu Odinga stated that he could team up with DP Ruto.

The leaders also took time time to campaign for Machakos Wiper party Senatorial candidate Agnes Kavindu Muthama.
