Kenyans react after two police officers were caught on camera manhandling a suspect who they arrested for allegedly not wearing a face mask in public.
The middle-aged man was roughed up by the officers as they struggled to bundle him into their vehicle.
In the video that went viral on social media pages, one office was witnessed mercilessly squeezing the suspect’s private part as he warned him against resisting arrest.
As the officers tried to force the suspect into the vehicle, the embattled man weakly resisted pleading for dialogue.
The incident caught a number of Kenyans attention who castigated the officers for ruthlessly brutalizing a suspect in broad daylight.
Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Nelson Havi also condemned the action leading the call for justice to the embattled man.
Havi also asked members of the public to provide relevant information regarding the incident for purposes taking the relevant action against the rogue officers
“Anyone with information on the identity of the victim of this police assault, the names of the assailant three policemen, the registration number of the motor vehicle used, the station of the policemen and the scene of the incidence please urgently contact me on 0722904905,” Havi tweeted.
