Health Ministry Cabinet Secretary Muhahi Kagwe has sent a warning to Kenyans to very careful when taking Covid-19 jabs since it has emerged that several citizens have received fake Covid-19 vaccine.

It is quite unfortunate that so many people have continued to receive fake Covid-19 vaccines and pay handsomely for the jabs.

This will be a major blow to the entire country’s status as those who have taken the fake jab might end up developing various health complications that will trigger an increase in Covid-19 related deaths.

Reports by the KTN News on Thursday 3 June, CS Mutahi revealed that some Kenyans have been injected with Water in the name of the Covid-19 vaccine and end up parting with cash.

Kagwe asserted that some private hospitals have taken the advantage of the current situation to swindle money from innocent Kenyans.

“We have been notified that several Kenyans have already received Fake Covid-19 vaccine from some private institutions. Shockingly, some have been injected with Water and ends up paying huge amount of money yet our Government has constantly said that no Vaccine should be sold to anyone,” Kagwe stated.

CS Kagwe further informed that the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) agents has now launched an investigation that is intended to verify the reports, revealing that in the coming days, the truth will come out and ruthless action will be taken against those found guilty.

“Already, our DCI team has commenced in searching for the truth concerning the worrying report. Soon Kenyans will know the truth and culprits will be brought to book. Nevertheless, no Kenyan should pay for the Covid-19 Vaccination,” Kagwe added.
