VIDEO: Angry Kabogo addresses rumors of joining KANU

Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has denied online reports he has joined KANU. In video he posted online the Kiambu politician said he left KANU in 2002 and termed the information as false.

Former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu in March denounced his membership from the Jubilee Party to join the independence party. The former Kiambu Governor, was part of a delegation of Mt Kenya leaders who had paid a visit to KANU Chair Gideon Moi at Kabarak.

It was supposed to be deposited as soon as the pre-election deal was done, but some people just did not do their jobs. So to avoid any challenge and any ambiguity, the two parties have chosen the path of a post-election agreement to formalise the relationship they already have,” Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju when KANU signed a post-election pact with the ruling party.

KANU MPs and senators can sit in a Jubilee Party parliamentary group, which will now be called a coalition.

“The Post-Election Coalition shall be purely for purposes of addressing the parliamentary strength of the Jubilee Party in Parliament and / or in the County Assemblies,” the Jubilee Party Constitution states.
