Uhuru’s Tough Reaction Confuses ODM MPs After Shouts Of ‘Azimio’ Were Poured With Cold Water

President Uhuru Kenyatta tough reaction confused ODM Members of Parliament after shouts of ‘Azimio’ were poured with cold water.

Speaking at State House Nairobi on Thursday during a new year luncheon hosted for Members of Parliament, Raila allied MPs were seemingly left confused after Uhuru responded negatively to their plight.

Uhuru was delivering his speech about the Parties amendment bill that is currently tabled in the Senate when a reckless MP from the Western region shouted “Azimio” as if wanting the head of state to comment on the same.

It was an expectation that Uhuru would finally put his weight behind Raila Odinga as his preferred successor and publicly declare the fact at yesterday’s meeting.

However, according to Nation, the president daringly told off the MP that he was not going to speak politics at the meeting and completely diverted the conversation. Instead, Uhuru opted to talk about the unity of purpose and the BBI insisting that he is still a Jubilee member and will only work from there raising questions about his commitment towards the Jubilee-ODM merger or coalition (Azimio).

“I am a proud member of Jubilee, but I am an even prouder member of the Kenyan society, which is reflected here today. This is what we are trying to achieve. To say that we may belong in many different homes, but we can actually work together for the interests of 50 million Kenyan people,” the president said.
