The Office of the President will officially gazette the BBI draft Bill on Monday or Tuesday next week, this is according to sources from the Office of the President. This latest move by President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to block any further push for amendment by Tanga Tanga especially DP Ruto.
The State has been informed by its intelligence community that William Ruto is determined at slowing down the BBI process, by any means necessary to spite ODM leader Raila Odinga and the Head of State. The clergy have been roped in this plan and their calls for amending the BBI report were sinister and politically instigated. The State has been informed DP Ruto has pocked the church and that they will play a critical role in Ruto’s 2022 bid.
Also, a number of leaders in the Tanga Tanga wing of Jubilee, whom President Uhuru kicked out from various House leadership positions also have a bone of contention with the president. Leading the fray is Elgeyo Mrakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen who continues to throw jabs at the Head of State, with the latest being a mockery of Uhuru’s address in a Tweet.
The gazetting of the Draft Bill next week was reached out yesterday evening, to also tactically push Tanga Tanga to react over the move to gazette the report, and covertly, force them to publicly declare their opposition for the BBI.
It is also emerging hardliners around President Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga want a contested referendum to prove a point to the antagonizing and resilient Ruto camp. There are also fears that if Tanga Tanga Camp does not oppose the whole BBI process, there will be no need for the BBI push.
