Two move to court to challenge Jubilee nomination.

The ruling Jubilee party is in a catch as two residents moved to the Kiambu High Court seeking to revoke the nomination of Felistus Wanjiku.

Felistus, was sworn into the County Assembly of Kiambu as a special elected Member of County Assembly through part nomination by the Jubulee party.

But Joseph Muchai and Joyce Gachie accused the party of shortchanging Sarah Thuku, who they said was supposed to take the position left vacant by Yvonne Waweru.

“There has been a gross violation of the party constitution by the respondent in causing the fourth respondent (Wanjiku) to assume the office of nominated MCA in Kiambu County,” stated a petition filed at the High Court in Kiambu.

IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati, Kiambu County Assembly speaker, and jubilee party have been listed as respondent in the case.

The seat was earlier left Vacant after Yvonne Waweru tendered her resignation letter saying she was going back to her old profession in Ocean governance in the western Indian Ocean region.
