Two arrested,charged with possession of knives in town

Two suspects found in possession of kitchen knives off Limuru Road in Nairobi were charged in preparation to commit robbery.

The weapons, according to  police officers who arrested them, was dangerous and indication that they had an intent to commit robbery.

The police had received information from the bodaboda riders concerning the two suspects who were causing fear among the public.

Alex Mwangi Kamau and John Kimbio Mwangi appearing before the magistrate at Kibera Law Courts, denied the charges instead saying they were hawking sugarcane and police threw away their sugarcane.

The magistrate released them on a cash bail of Ksh 30,000 and the case will be mentioned on August 25.
