Turkish man in Ruto’s aborted Uganda trip to be arraigned in court

Turkish investor Harun Aydin who had been at the centre of the saga surrounding DP Ruto aborted trip to Uganda will be arraigned in court on Monday.

The Turkish Businessman was detained by immigration officials on landing in Nairobi from Uganda in regards of questioning his immigration status,work permit and the business he was involved in the region.

But according to sources,Harun Aydin had been suspected to be a terror activities finacer who was linked to funding terrorist activities in the country.

The suspect could be detained for 14 days after arraignment as he expected to also face charges of being in the country illegally.

However,Ruto allies had earlier denied the report saying the investor was a law-abiding citizen who had never been charged or arrested, claiming that he had invested in a vaccine manufacturing plant in Uganda.

The Deputy president also took on his social media platform on Saturday,saying Aydin had been dragged into a tragedy of political pettiness since he had a valid work permit yet he had been labelled a terroris due to his association with the second in command.


Turkey’s embassy and Aydin Lawyers efforts to secure his release bored no fruits with the uncertainty of the matter still remaining in silent.
