Tob Cohen’s widow, Sarah Cohen has resurfaced with more details on the murder of the Dutch billionaire whose body was found dumped in a septic tank at his Kitisuru home, with investigators linkuing Wambui to the murder.
In the latest twist, Wambui has revealed that lust for Cohen’s vast wealth played a role in his disappearence and murder.
According to the widow, Cohen was murdered by people who want to grab their family home in Kitisuru which is valued at Ksh 500 million.
She further alleged that she was framed in the murder, adding that Cohen was murdered when she was already in police custody, further distancing herself from the gruesome murder that made headlines last year.
In a petition filed in court, Wambui maintained that “It is evident that the deceased was murdered after the petitioner had been arrested and his body planted at the jointly owned matrimonial home by persons known to the deceased in order to implicate the petitioner and have her removed from the said home to facilitate the grabbing of her home by interested parties including politicians”.
She also challenged the legitimacy of Cohen’s will that left her nothing.
The will handed over Cohen’s vast empire to his relatives even as details of her frosty relationship with her dead husband surfaced.
Wairimu also sought an order to compel the DCI and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji to release her Kitisuru home, after she had been allowed temporary access to take her belongings.
Investigations took a dramatic twist after romantic and intimate texts exchanged between Sarah Cohen and Court of Appeal Judge Sankai ole Kantai.
